Extra Crunch roundup: Selling SaaS to developers, cracking YC after 13 tries, all about Expensify

Before Twilio had a market cap approaching $56 billion and more than 200,000 customers, the cloud-communications platform developed a secret sauce to fuel its growth: a developer-focused model that dispensed with traditional marketing rules. Software companies that sell directly to end users share a simple framework for managing growth that leverages discoverability, desirability and do-ability — the “aha!” moment where a consumer is able to incorporate a new product into their workflow. Data show that traditional marketing doesn’t work on developers, and it’s not because they’re impervious to a sales pitch. Builders just want reliable tools that are easy to use. https://saldogratispoker.com/showthread.php?tid=153553&pid=1008419 https://amantespastoraleman.com/foro/showthread.php?tid=132 http://forum.naronanews.com/showthread.php?tid=3004 http://www.crazyrpg.wh1.pl/showthread.php?tid=6407&pid=14980 https://ninerp.com/forums/showthread.php?tid=39062 https://crackingthat.com...

Solana, a blockchain platform followed by top crypto investors, says it’s far faster than Ethereum

Solana isn’t widely known yet outside of the crypto community. But insiders think the blockchain platform is interesting for a wide variety of reasons, beginning with its amiable founder, Anatoly Yakovenko, who spent more than a dozen years as an engineer working on wireless protocols at Qualcomm and who says he had a lightbulb moment at a San Francisco cafe several years ago following two coffees and a beer. His big idea centered on creating an historical record to speed along “consensus,” which is how decisions are made on blockchains, which are themselves peer-to-peer systems. https://kamera.al/showthread.php?tid=679 https://www.mac-it.ch/forum/showthread.php?tid=199884 http://mybb.ciudadhive.com/showthread.php?tid=23879&pid=68155 https://therockandduckshow.net/showthread.php?tid=50386 https://whitehatcommunity.com/showthread.php?tid=149480 https://emiratehub.ae/thread-337.html http://uhm.vn/forum/showthread.php?tid=260401 https://www.jiubei.eu/forum/showthread.php?tid=5642...

Daily Crunch: A huge fintech exit as the week ends

Our thanks to everyone who wrote in this week about the format changes to the newsletter! Feedback largely sorted into two themes: Some people really like the more narrative format, and some folks really want a more link-list styled missive. What follows is an attempt to balance both perspectives. Starting today we’ll bold company names, so that you can more quickly pick out startups, add more bulleted points to sections, and, per a different piece of feedback, include more regular descriptors of companies that are not household names. That said, we’re not going to abandon chatting with you every day, as TechCrunch is nothing if not full of things to say. So here’s a blend of what the new, updated Daily Crunch team had in mind, and your notes. A big thanks to everyone who wrote in! How to attract large investors to your direct investing platform

fintech startups have tried to become a market-maker between investors and investment opportunities. However, the challenge with this two-sided market is: How do you get the investors to show up? It’s hard enough to get retail investors, but family offices and other large check writers are even more challenging to lure. https://wastedwarlocks.com/forums/showthread.php?tid=24229&pid=204004 http://aandp.net/forum/showthread.php?tid=646427 http://www.kolaservers.net/forums/showthread.php?tid=251759 http://www.ntarestore.org/forum/showthread.php?tid=2569 https://plainnuts.com/showthread.php?tid=25613 https://movietato.com/showthread.php?tid=70283 https://www.eclipse-gaming.de/forum/showthread.php?tid=12572&pid=16915#pid16915 I’ve been meeting lately with an increasing number of family offices interested in investing directly into companies in lieu of via funds. As a result, I’ve started investigating some of the online platforms that enable direct investing. For instance, thos...
